It's 2000 black
And of course, we're hoping that by the year 2000
We know that by the year 2000, that's even better
Everybody will be knowledgeable
You understand? Everybody black, 2000 black, 2000 black
I want you
And you, and you, and you
And especially you
To listen to me
Like many other black men
I have a dream
Like many other black men
I have a vision with that dream
My dream and my vision
Are the coming together of black minds
Within this universe we live in
Now, what I mean about the coming togetherness of black minds
Is this
Better think about your future, y'all
And don't forget your past
'Cause all the things we lived before
Can not be lived again
And all the people's tears
Can not be shed again
Better think about your future, y'all
And don't forget your past
People only need to change
It's a plain and simple fact
Think about your future, yeah
Think about where the present's at
Think about 2000 black
Think about 2000 black
Think about 2000 black
Think about 2000 black
By the time the year 2000 comes
Our mind should be as one
We must teach our people how to come
Together once again
As we grow as one
In unity
All the knowledge which we all contain
Must now expand our minds
Think about 2000 black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 black (Think about it)
Think about 2000 black (Think about it)
(Think about it)
